Meet the Speaker

Eric GoodmanEric Goodman, BSN, RN, CWOCN, CFCN, CFCS

Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence, Foot Care Nurse, & Foot Care Specialist

Eric is a public speaker at major nursing conferences. Presentation topics have included wound and continence care for the urological patient, funding challenges across the care continuum, ostomy care, foot care, and incorporating creativity into education. He is the President of the Northern Illinois Affiliate of the WOCN Society and is an Ostomy Care Associate (OCA) Program Course Coordinator. He works as a registry WOC Nurse, inpatient acute care, for three hospital systems. He practices primary as a home health visiting nurse using certifications in wound, ostomy, continence, and foot care nursing. He is the President of Home Health WOCRN that provides contracted specialized skilled nursing services that are not routinely available by home health agencies. In this role, he seeks to improve the quality of patient care, reduce operating costs, and increase nursing staff role satisfaction by improving competency. He has enjoyed volunteering for organizations that support homeless adults, adolescents living with conditions of the bowel and bladder, and nursing education. Lastly, he provides Legal Nurse Consulting services: case analysis, screening potential nursing negligence cases, certificates of merit, expert witness, expert fact witness, preparing narrative summary and chronology for cases in Acute Care, Long-term Care, and Home Health settings.
