Brenda Edwards Brenda Edwards, CPC, CDEO, CPB, CPMA, CPC-I, CEMC, CRC, CPMS, CMRS, CMCS, has been involved in the healthcare arena for more than 30 years with experience in chart audits, coding and billing, education, consulting, practice management, and compliance. She has worked closely with practices, providers, and residency programs to ensure documentation is compliant and accurate. Edwards has written many articles for national publications and associations, including Healthcare Business Monthly, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and BC Advantage. Her humorous and engaging presentation style has made her a favorite at both national and regional conferences.
Scott R. Grubman Scott R. Grubman is a partner with the law firm of Chilivis Grubman Dalbey & Warner in Atlanta, Georgia. Grubman focuses his practice on representing healthcare providers of all types and sizes in connection with government investigations and compliance-related matters. Prior to joining private practice, Grubman served as both a Trial Attorney for the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and as an Assistant United States Attorney in Savannah, Georgia. As an Assistant United States Attorney, Grubman served on his district’s healthcare fraud task force, and was responsible for investigating and litigating healthcare fraud matters on behalf of the United States. In addition to his practice, Grubman serves as an adjunct professor of law at both Emory University and Georgia State University.
