2020 OPPS Final Rule: Implementing the Latest CMS Policies

loyal listener library

Presented on: Wednesday, December 4, 2019 | 1:00–3:00 p.m. Eastern

Presented by: Jugna Shah, MPH, Valerie A. Rinkle, MPA

Each year CMS issues the OPPS final rule, which details the changes to Medicare outpatient coding and billing. Providers must implement and prepare for the rule’s major financial implications by January 1. Last year’s rule contained major changes for 340B drug policy payments and site-neutral payments.

During this program, expert speakers Jugna Shah, MPH, and Valerie A. Rinkle, MPA, will analyze the final rule and deliver a comprehensive program to update you on the major changes for 2020 under OPPS. What will this year’s critical changes be? Find out what they are—and how to prepare—by attending this annual best-selling webinar.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the most significant changes finalized by CMS
  • Describe the nuances and complexities associated with assessing the financial impact of CMS' packaging changes
  • Determine which procedures are assigned to Comprehensive APCs

This program will cover:

  • Key financial changes for 2020
  • The top operational challenges hospitals will face in 2020
  • Changes to APCs, comprehensive APCs, and new separately payable APC services

A live question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
