ACDIS PRO provides the information CDI specialists need to understand which codes trigger a patient safety indicator (PSI) in the Patient Safety and Adverse Events Composite (PSI 90) and which exclude the patient encounter from reporting.

1. What is ACDIS PRO?
   
   ACDIS PRO is an interactive, customizable online tool that allows CDI professionals to easily access CDI information anywhere. The tool contains all the great content you’re accustomed to viewing in the ACDIS Pocket Guide, but with the added benefits of an online tool! Plus, it has exclusive conditions and content you won’t find in the ACDIS Pocket Guide. More than 100 clinical conditions are included on ACDIS PRO as well as 17 Patient Safety Indicators (PSI). Each condition also includes a sample query.
   
   
2. Who is the intended user?
   
   The ACDIS PRO will be most useful to CDI specialists practicing in the inpatient/acute care/hospital setting. For inpatient coders, we recommend JustCoding PRO; for outpatient CDI specialists and coders, we recommend ACDIS Outpatient PRO; and for providers, we recommend ACDIS Physician PRO.
   
   
3. How is ACDIS PRO different from the ACDIS Pocket Guide?
   
   ACDIS PRO is updated in real-time with revised guidance and new conditions added throughout the year—no need to wait for next year's book.    ACDIS PRO contains all of the information that is in the ACDIS Pocket Guide. Because it is updated in real-time, you'll have access to new regulatory guidance and newly added conditions sooner than you would if you waited for the next edition of the book to be published. Additionally, because ACDIS PRO is online, it doesn't have the same limits a book has, so it includes information that is not in the ACDIS Pocket Guides, such as sample queries, conditions exclusive to ACDIS PRO, and information related to PSIs.
   
   
5. How often is ACDIS PRO updated?
   
   ACDIS PRO is updated 3–4 times per year with the release of new American Hospital Association Coding Clinics, updated Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) PSI specifications, and updated ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting.
