The end of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) on May 11 brought changes that every healthcare provider needs to understand, from important coding and billing updates to key compliance shifts. While some PHE waivers have come to an end, others (such as telehealth provisions) continue on. In this 60-minute webinar, discover all of the nuances of the post-PHE landscape and steer your practice to success.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand what the end of the PHE means for their practice and what they should be doing differently now
  • Make changes in billing, coding, policies and procedures, and other processes to comply with the post-PHE requirements
  • Explain these changes to relevant staff
  • Address issues raised by failure to comply with the post-PHE changes

  • Discover which requirements have changed for physician practice billing, coding, and compliance since the end of the PHE on May 11—and find out which related changes are coming in the weeks and months ahead.
  • Learn about the many flexibilities under Medicare that expired on May 11, such as the three-day skilled nursing facility rule and remote physiologic monitoring for new patients. Access an all-inclusive list of waivers and their deadlines.
  • Understand the more complex changes related to the end of the PHE, such as the address under which physicians practicing from home can bill.
  • Find out which changes did not take effect on May 11 but are scheduled to take effect in the months to come.
  • Map out a plan for telehealth services, which had major changes under Medicare and other insurances during the PHE, and find out what is and is not allowed in telehealth going forward.
  • Know which Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute flexibilities you can count on.
