Overview
This course provides a basic overview of medical terminology. Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Identify the five parts of a medical term
- Explain how to read a medical term
- Identify the rules used in building medical terms
- Build medical terms correctly
Those who are in revenue cycle and HIM departments, as well as physician offices, are involved in coding, billing, and other aspects of reporting services despite no clinical background. This course will provide the basics for them to understand medical terminology.
