Coders must familiarize themselves with the fiscal year (FY) 2023 ICD-10-CM code updates and their impact on code sequencing and payment before these changes go into effect on October 1. Providers must ensure their teams are well informed and coding to the highest degree of specificity to ensure accurate reimbursement.
During this 90-minute program, expert speaker Kimberly Cunningham, CCS, CPC, will help you sift through 1,176 new, 28 revised, and 287 deleted ICD-10-CM codes for FY 2023. She will also review complication or comorbidity (CC)/major complication or comorbidity (MCC) designation changes and updates to the ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. The program will be followed by a live Q&A.

Meet the Speaker
Kimberly Cunningham, CCS, CPC, is an instructor for HCPro’s Certified Coder Boot Camp programs. She has extensive experience with education, auditing, and management, and has worked to implement processes, policies, and curricula in her various roles. Prior to joining HCPro, she worked for an industry-leading university health system as a coding compliance manager. Her duties included educating providers, coders, and clinical documentation integrity professionals. Cunningham has also worked as an auditor on behalf of CMS and the Department of Health and Human Services.
