Boost Your E/M Revenue: Document and Code High-Level Visits With Confidence

loyal listener library

Presented on: Wednesday, June 29, 2022 | 1:00–2:00 p.m. Eastern

Presented by: Nancy Enos, FACMPE, CPC-I, CPMA, CEMC, CPC Emeritust

Confusing new guidelines for office E/M visits, sparse guidance from official sources, and fear of audits have pushed some practices to down code their level 4 and 5 visits. When practices submit higher-level codes, the payer may automatically down code the claim. As a result, practices lose revenue, cut provider pay, and struggle to make do with less while still trying to recover from the shocks of 2020.

This 60-minute webinar will show you how to compliantly use the new rules to your advantage. At the end of this session, members of your group will be able to document and code high-level office visits with confidence, whether the visit is coded based on time or medical decision-making.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Document all data considered during an E/M encounter and get credit for all documents and tests
  • Track, document, and report time spent on the day of an encounter to increase coding levels when appropriate
  • Increase coding levels with confidence
  • Avoid the risks of cloned notes

  • E/M advantage—how the new guidelines can help you compliantly boost visit levels
  • Essential data elements for level 4 and 5 office visits
  • Documentation and coding for high-level visits based on time
  • Documentation and coding for high-level visits based on medical decision-making
  • Live Q&A—ask our speaker questions about the new codes
