The 2023 OPPS final rule introduces a new provider type for rural emergency hospitals, updates the agency’s policy on reimbursement for drugs purchased through the 340B drug discount program, and includes a variety of other changes for hospitals to examine and implement by January 1.
During this 90-minute webinar, expert speakers Kimberly Hoy, JD, CPC, and Camille Ruiz, RHIA, will explain the major changes for outpatient hospital payments and services coming in 2023 and beyond. Meet the Speaker
Kimberly A. Hoy, JD, CPC, is the director of Medicare and compliance for HCPro, a division of Simplify Compliance. She is a lead regulatory specialist and lead instructor for HCPro’s Medicare Boot Camp®—Hospital Version and Medicare Boot Camp—Utilization Review Version. She is also an instructor for HCPro’s Medicare Boot Camp—Critical Access Hospital Version. Hoy is a former hospital compliance officer and in-house legal counsel, and has 10 years of experience teaching, speaking, and writing about Medicare coverage, payment, and coding regulations and requirements.
Camille Ruiz, RHIA, is a regulatory specialist for HCPro and an instructor for HCPro’s Revenue Integrity and Chargemaster Boot Camp®. She has served as a clinic coder, HIM manager and director, CDM analyst, and CDM and revenue integrity consultant. She has more than 15 years of experience with revenue systems coordination and CDM and revenue cycle consulting. She is an AHIMA-approved Revenue Cycle Trainer.
