Presented by: Courtney Crozier, MA, RHIA, CCS, CDIP

Healthcare organizations are still facing staff shortages following the COVID-19 public health emergency. Some facilities are turning to technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to fill these gaps. As with the introduction of any new technology, autonomous coding via AI will likely raise questions for coding and HIM staff. How does it work? How does it compare to manual coding? How will it impact the future of coding?

Join expert speaker Courtney Crozier, MA, RHIA, CCS, CDIP, for this 60-minute webinar as she discusses how to apply autonomous coding. She will dispel common myths about this technology and explain her predictions about how autonomous coding will evolve and increase collaboration among software, providers, and payers. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the evolution of coding and coding technologies
  • Define autonomous coding and the technology needed
  • Compare manual, computer-assisted, and autonomous coding
  • Identify common myths surrounding autonomous coding
