About the Authors
Vicki Hamm, C-TAGME, is the graduate medical education (GME) program administrator at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Hamm began her career in GME in 1976 and has served in her current position for more than 44 years.
In this role, she helps maintain institutional oversight of 62 training programs and more than 600 house officers. She works closely with the 42 program coordinators in all facets of administering the residency and fellowship programs at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Hamm has been a member of the Association for Hospital Medical Education (AHME) and has presented at the annual Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) conference, as well as the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM). She obtained her Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification in 2014.
In addition to her other work, Hamm is the author/coauthor of several HCPro publications, including The Resident’s Orientation Handbook, first, second, third, and fourth editions; The Graduate Medical Education Committee Handbook; and Program Information Form Made Simple.
