loyal listener library

Presented on: Tuesday, July 19, 2022 | 1:00-2:00 p.m. Eastern

Presented by: Adriane Martin, DO, FACOS, CCDS

ICD-10-PCS coding for spinal fusions requires a solid understanding of spinal anatomy, medical terminology, and surgical descriptions included in operative reports. Coders must select applicable seventh-character qualifiers based on the surgical approach and device values that correspond to the part of the spine being fused. They must also interpret ICD-10-PCS guidelines for reporting 360-degree fusions and concomitant decompressive procedures.

Join expert Adriane Martin, DO, FACOS, CCDS, for this 60-minute webinar as she discusses inpatient coding challenges for spinal fusions. She will review spinal anatomy and terminology, and ICD-10-PCS coding for fusions with laminotomies, foraminotomies, and discectomies. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.
