Rural health clinic (RHC) billing has become increasingly complicated in recent years. Changing regulations, coverage rules, and billing requirements are difficult to track, especially for busy RHC staff that routinely wear many hats within the clinic. Keep your entire team on top of the latest Medicare information for RHC designation, staffing, billing issues, modifiers, and more with this virtual workshop, available live or on-demand.

During the first half of this three-hour workshop, Medicare regulatory expert Debbie Mackaman, RHIA, CPCO, CCDS, will help participants break down the general requirements for RHC designation and essential billing fundamentals. The second half of the workshop will offer insight into billing for special services and an overview of the all-inclusive rate (AIR) reimbursement system.

Interactive case studies and review, including live Q&A sessions, will allow participants to see how billing requirements apply in this unique setting.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify requirements for qualifying as an RHC
  • Analyze billing requirements for common RHC evaluation and management (E/M) services
  • Explain compliant billing processes for preventive, incident-to, and special services
  • Describe the AIR and allowable costs
  • Summarize application of the Medicare Part B deductible and coinsurance
