Presented on: Wednesday, February 23, 2022
Presented by: Shannon McCall, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CEMC, CRC, CCDS, CCDS-O
Podiatric coding is a challenging specialty due to the complex anatomy it covers and the specific documentation necessary for Medicare compliance. To accurately code for foot and toe procedures in CPT®, coders must be familiar with the bones in each foot and the anatomic modifiers that designate where a procedure was performed.
During this 60-minute webinar, expert speaker Shannon E. McCall, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I, CEMC, CRC, CCDS, CCDS-O, will review 2022 CPT coding for amputations of the feet and toes, and procedures used to treat hallux valgus and hammer toe deformities, plantar fasciitis, and Morton’s neuroma. She will also review relevant CPT and Medicare reporting guidance and podiatric anatomy and terminology. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Apply the latest CPT codes for foot and toe procedures
- Adhere to Medicare guidance for reporting these services
- Understand pertinent anatomy and pathophysiology
