The new Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) takes effect October 2019, and SNFs need to be ready by addressing how therapy services might change. SNF billing and contracting with therapy and rehabilitation will likely change under the PDPM as well.

Join expert speaker Reginald M. Hislop III, PhD, and Dean Freeland, PT, to learn what you can do to prepare your facility and financially thrive under the new model. At the end of the webinar, join us for a live Q&A session and get your most pressing questions answered by Hislop.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify how the PDPM will impact SNF reimbursement, with a focus on facilities that have had high therapy RUG utilization
  • Rethink and renegotiate contracts to conform to the new model
  • Understand strategies to manage the therapy and care delivery transition under the PDPM, with emphasis on the model’s changes regarding group and concurrent treatment
  • Identify internal operational changes needed now to build organizational competence under the PDPM

  • How Medicare fee-for-service reimbursement is changing under the PDPM
  • How revenue change will occur, particularly to SNFs with a heavy therapy book of business
  • What the PDPM looks like from a therapy contract perspective, and how the contract companies perceive the PDPM
  • What SNFs need to know and do now to adjust their therapy contracts for the PDPM (no longer should contracts be tied to RUGs)
