Presented by: Karen Tibbs, RN, MS, HCS-D, COS-C, quality manager OASIS and coding McBee

Respondents to a recent home health productivity survey noted that out of all the OASIS items clinicians are responsible for, the OASIS GG items (functional abilities and goals) took the most time. Yet correct answers to these items are vital—they put your agency on a path to compliance and secure accurate payments in PDGM and Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP).

Discover ways to help clinicians complete the OASIS GG items more efficiently without compromising accuracy. During this live webinar, OASIS expert Karen Tibbs will walk through some easy ways to save clinicians time and avoid some of the most common inaccuracies seen when answering these questions.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how OASIS functional and GG items impact payments
  • Explain the differences in scoring and intent between the OASIS M and GG items
  • Identify strategies for efficient, accurate activity assessment
  • Discuss plans for saving clinicians time on OASIS GG items
  • Reproduce ways to save clinicians time while ensuring accurate assessments

  • How the OASIS GG items factor into PDGM payments and HHVBP incentives
  • How CMS will change functional item case-mix points in 2022
  • Tips and scenarios to help clinicians avoid common mistakes and conduct a thorough assessment
  • Efficiencies for completing OASIS items in an optimal amount of time
  • Time-saving software solutions and features for clinicians
  • Q&A
