CMS has released 392 new ICD-10-PCS codes, 216 deleted codes, and eight code revisions which will become active October 1. Coders will need to learn new tables and incorporate new characters in existing tables to work with providers, ensuring that documentation is complete and that claims accurately reflect services rendered. Along with the changes to MS-DRGs, this hour-long program will delve into the various ICD-10-PCS code changes, including new qualifier characters in the 021 Bypass Heart and Great Vessels table and the 031 Bypass Upper Arteries table.

During this 60-minute program, expert speaker Adrienne Commeree, CPC, CPMA, CCS, CEMC, CPIP, will help you sift through the changes to various MS-DRG classifications and pinpoint changes of note for your facility, review the new and revised code descriptions for the 2019 ICD-10-PCS code set, determine potential areas of documentation improvement for new and revised codes, and answer specific questions during the live Q&A.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Explain changes to various MS-DRG classifications
  • Discuss the impact of the ICD-10-PCS code set changes
