Learn how to designate the best compliance officer and committee members (Element 1 of a compliance program), and the requirements for conducting regular and effective staff training and education (Element 3).

Defensible documentation begins at intake. From reporting diagnoses that are acceptable under PDGM to confirming eligibility, your intake staff is responsible for demonstrating compliance from the start. And under the new discharge planning Condition of Participation, your responsibility for accurate documentation doesn’t end with your agency. You must be prepared to provide additional necessary clinical information to other providers. Learn how to establish processes that keep your agency running smoothly.
