E/M for Physicians and Qualified Healthcare Professionals: Just the Facts Clinicians Need - On-Demand

loyal listener library

Available ON-DEMAND

Presented on: Wednesday, May 12, 2021

Presented by: Nancy M. Enos, FACMPE, CPC-I, CPMA, CEMC, CPC emeritus

Physicians and qualified healthcare professionals (QHP) must understand the new rules for office E/M visits (99202–99215) to receive full payment for their work. But they may not have time to read a book or listen to hours of educational sessions filled with details that aren’t relevant to accurately documenting patient care.

This presentation is built exclusively for billing clinicians, offers easy-to-digest sections on the key points of the E/M guidelines, and is based on the latest guidance, including the March 9 update to the documentation and reporting guidelines. Clinicians can listen live, on demand, or both and earn CMEs.

  • Live: Listen to the presentation and submit questions for the expert speaker.
  • On demand: Listen to the recording whenever you wish. Slide headings make it easy to find a specific section of the presentation. The easy-to-use format makes it ideal for new physicians and QHPs.

BONUS! Everyone who registers for the live webinar will receive free access to the learning module version of the presentation. When the modules are available, clinicians will be able to select the topic they want to learn about (see the list in the agenda below) and learn without having to commit to more than a few minutes at a time.

After a brief overview, the following topics will be covered in a question-and-answer format:

  • Number and complexity of problems addressed
  • Tests
  • Documents
  • Risk of complications
  • Discussion of management or test interpretation
  • Independent historian
  • Time

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Efficiently document an office visit for accurate coding with either reporting method:
    • Medical decision-making
    • Time
  • Avoid documentation errors that expose the billing practitioner to repayments and audits

Who Should Listen?

  • Physicians
  • Qualified healthcare professionals who bill E/M services
  • Compliance managers
