Your payments will be increased or decreased by 5% based on your Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) scores, derived from 2022 data.

Gather your staff for this live webinar that will walk through the key areas used to determine payments under HHVBP so your agency can move quickly to identify areas with the biggest opportunities for improvement. Note: CMS has proposed to use your outcome scores from 2019 and 2022 to determine payments in 2024.

Senior clinical consultant Charlie Breznicky Jr. will break down the common mistakes to avoid related to the five OASIS-based outcome measures, the two claims-based measures, and HHCAHPS sections that drive your scores. You’ll get quick tips for moving the needle on some of the hardest-hitting measures such as reducing readmissions to get the biggest bang for your buck.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how HHVBP payments are derived
  • Identify areas where you can make fast improvements in HHVBP measures
  • Train clinicians how to accurately and efficiently score functional items
  • Get pointers for improving customer care
  • Uncover less obvious operational mistakes that could be holding you back from improving key outcomes

Agenda

  • Three individual OASIS measures (dyspnea, discharge to the community, and med management)
  • Eight OASIS measures that make up the Total Normalized Composite Scores (grooming, upper and lower body dressing, bathing, toilet hygiene, eating, toilet transfer, bed transfer, and ambulation)
  • Two claims measures (hospitalization and emergency department use)
  • Five sections of the HHCAHPS (professional care, team discussion, willingness to recommend)

Who Should Listen?

  • Home health administrators
  • HR professionals
  • Clinical managers
  • Compliance officers
  • Quality (improvement/assurance) managers
  • Clinicians
