Presented on: Thursday, July 28, 2022 | 1–2 p.m. Eastern
Presented by: Stacie L. Buck, RHIA, CCS-P, RCC, RCCIR, CIRCC
Interventional radiology coding for lower-extremity interventions is notoriously complex and continuously evolving. To correctly report the most appropriate CPT® codes for these procedures, coders need a solid understanding of up-to-date coding guidance and NCCI edits for arterial interventions.
During this 60-minute webinar, expert speaker Stacie L. Buck, RHIA, CCS-P, RCC, RCCIR, CIRCC, will review CPT coding and reporting rules for lower-extremity arterial interventions including angioplasties, atherectomies, thrombectomies, and stent placements. She’ll also discuss 2022 NCCI guidance for reporting these procedures and will review bundled components for therapeutic interventions. The program will be followed by a live Q&A.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Adhere to CPT bundling rules for assigning catheterization codes with therapeutic interventions
- Correctly apply NCCI Manual instructions and edits for lower-extremity interventions
- Select the most specific codes for lower-extremity interventions
