Course Content

ACDIS CDI Apprenticeship.
Start your new CDI team member off with ACDIS’ certificate program for new CDI staff. Perfect for new hires to take in their first 1-2 months, this online learning course covers the most common clinical conditions and essential principles new CDI specialists need to hit the ground running.

Clinical Documentation Integrity Boot Camp.
ACDIS’s flagship training program for CDI specialists. This course is the next step in your new hire training program—perfect for someone with 2 months experience. This course dives deep into ACDIS-endorsed best practices for medical record review and compliant physician querying, and thoroughly explains how Medicare’s IPPS methodology relates to short-term acute care hospital reimbursement.

Coding Fundamentals for CDI – Inpatient.
Give staff details about how inpatient codes are assigned, what guidelines must be followed, and the basics of reimbursement.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to: 

• Describe the components of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes 
• Explain how ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding guidelines determine code choice
• Determine how DRGs are created and are used for inpatient reimbursement

1-Year ACDIS Membership.

Continuing Education

The following types of Continuing Education are offered only after the completion of all courses and the successful completion (80% pass rate) of the final exam. Upon achieving a passing exam score, users will be directed to a course evaluation that will open in a separate window which will need to be completed and submitted for both instant download and email delivery of all applicable CE certificates.

   Your new hire has access to all of the resources in the CDI Onboarding Bundle for one year from the date of purchase. While access expires after one year, you can renew access to all components of the package—or just certain elements, such as ACDIS PRO or ACDIS membership.
