Lisa Rae Roper, MHA, MS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-I has over 25 years of experience in business management, training program development, coding and healthcare consulting. She owns an independent consulting firm where she focuses on projects in business management and training with universities, state and local health departments, specialty physician offices, hospital outpatient facilities, and surgical centers. She is a frequent speaker, author, and contributor with many nationally recognized organizations and publications.
Currently, Lisa Rae is the Coordinator of Allied Health and Safety for the Missoula County Public Schools Adult Education Division, where she develops and supervises training programs and is a lead/mentor instructor. She is an adjunct instructor with HCPro and the University of Montana.
Before going into consulting, Lisa Rae was the Business Office Manager for Mercy Integrated Health, an affiliate of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW) St. Joseph's Hospital in Arizona. This company provided coding, billing, operational and software management for multi-specialty physicians, residents and faculty physicians, and multiple external clients.
Lisa Rae holds accreditations with the American Health Information Management association (AHIMA), is an AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer, and serves with AHIMA as a Council Member on the Excellence in Education Committee, a member of workgroups for Faculty Development and Curriculum, and an ACE member on the Action Community for e-HIM Excellence. She is an accredited coder and an approved instructor through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
Lisa Rae holds Master of Science degree in Health Administration from Kennedy-Western University, Wyoming, and a Master of Science degree in Post-Secondary Adult Education from Capella University, Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Grand Canyon University, Arizona. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Lean HealthCare Management from Massey Graduate School of Business Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee.
