The new year is almost here, and it’s time to update chargemasters with the latest coding and pricing information. But the many processes connected to the chargemaster and the complex, intertwined regulatory policies facilities must follow make this a challenging task. 2021 is set to be tougher than ever: CMS’ newest and most complex price transparency rules are set to go into effect, requiring facilities to post even more, and more highly detailed, charge information.
During this 90-minute webinar with live Q&A, expert speaker Denise Williams, COC, CHRI, will break down 2021 CPT®/HCPCS code changes, HIPAA transaction set requirements, and regulatory requirements to guide attendees through the most challenging chargemaster updates. Williams will also address the struggles of using the chargemaster for productivity statistics while trying to ensure compliance with NCCI coding instructions and edits.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe 2021 HCPCS Level I and II code changes and deletions
- Analyze chargemaster statistics
- Demonstrate chargemaster policies that support price transparency
