About the Author:
Brian Garavaglia, PhD, FACHCA, is a healthcare administrator and college instructor who has worked for more than 25 years within the acute, subacute, and long-term care settings and has served in the industry as a program director, consultant, and clinician. Garavaglia has been a graduate medical education lecturer for family care and internal medicine residents, providing education on dementia, cognitive changes as part of the aging process, and other mental health issues related to older adults. He is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Administrators.
