Level of Program:

Suicide prevention, infection control, and life safety problems are dominating today’s surveys as CMS and The Joint Commission crack down on patient safety.

In this three-hour virtual workshop, learn about the hot spots in hospital compliance in such areas as ligature risk, high-level disinfection and sterilization, titration and therapeutic duplication, sterile compounding and USP 797, management of dialysis programs (including infection control), training and competencies, and common problems within the environment of care and life safety. In highlighting the top noncompliant standards, our compliance experts will take you through photographic illustrations of common problems; they’ll also help you identify the trouble areas in your hospital through an interactive process.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate programs to address ligature risk
  • Look for and root out common infection control problems
  • Respond to surveyor expectations concerning titration, sterile compounding, and other medication management hot spots
  • Spot problems within the environment of care
