Presented on: Tuesday, January 28, 2020 | 1:00–2:00 p.m. Eastern

Presented by: Betsy Nicoletti, CPC

2020 will usher in six new CPT® codes to report online digital E/M services, more remote physiologic monitoring codes (three new and one revised), and three new HCPCS codes for online digital E/M services. Medicare will cover the new codes, and it intends to maintain coverage of interprofessional consult services and the two G codes it created for communications-based evaluations in 2019. Finally, Medicare has created new requirements for obtaining patient consent. Practices that want to take advantage of the new year’s high-tech revenue opportunities will need to stay on top of these changes.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Meet the documentation, coding, and reporting requirements for the new online digital E/M services
  • Meet the documentation, coding, and reporting requirements for the new and revised remote physiologic monitoring and treatment services
  • Comply with Medicare’s new patient consent rules
  • Make any necessary updates to their practice’s documentation, coding, and reporting processes for existing
