Hospital-Acquired Conditions: Protect Patients and Avoid Financial Penalties
Audio Conference on CD or Audio On-Demand
Sponsored by the Quality Improvement Report
presented on October 22, 2008
CMS will not pay for preventable conditions unless they are documented as present on admission.
The day of reckoning has arrived. Beginning October 1, 2007, CMS stopped paying for hospital-acquired conditions if they were reasonably preventable. More important than the financial toll, however, is the human toll these complications have on your patients. Now more than ever, it is critical to have a plan in place to successfully screen for and protect patients from these conditions.
Get the information you need straight from the source.
Listen to this 90-minute audio conference. Our expert speakers offer a clear understanding of what CMS is looking for and what it plans for the future—as well as strategies for preventing some surgical complications.
