Life Safety Compliance in 2009: How to Meet The Joint Commission's New Standards
AUDIO CONFERENCE ON CD OR AUDIO ON-DEMAND
Sponsored by: Life Safety Compliance Manual: A Guide to the Joint Commission Standards
presented on October 21, 2008
On January 1, 2009, The Joint Commission will begin enforcing its new life safety chapter. Safety officers, facility managers, and other safety professionals will contend with increased elements of performance, new scoring concerns, and elevated scrutiny by The Joint Commission’s life safety specialists. This upheaval is compounded by the fact that Life Safety Code® (LSC) violations are among the top five cited areas by surveyors. With the reorganization of the life safety standards it is imperative that you gain an understanding of these changes and how they will affect your organization.
Though the changes may be intimidating, ease your mind and listen to HCPro's 90-minute audio conference, Life Safety Compliance in 2009: How to Meet The Joint Commission's New Standards. Experienced professionals Brad Keyes, CHSP, (a former life safety specialist with The Joint Commission) and William E. Koffel, PE, FSFPE (who helped The Joint Commission develop the new LS standards) guide you through the new chapter, offer insight about what provisions are behind the LS standards, and give you tips to stay ahead of citations in 2009.
