MEET THE SPEAKERS
John Nolan is a senior consultant and has been serving the healthcare industry with code consultation since 1997. He is a cum laude graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology/Industrial Risk Management. He also holds a degree with honors in Fire Protection from New Hampshire Technical College. John serves as a Senior Fire & Emergency Management Consultant with the firm. His spends a majority of his time as project manager for Life Safety Code® compliance projects at our largest clients. This includes a variety of medical centers with over one million square feet in area and various buildings and occupancies. He also commonly provides seminars on emergency management and the Life Safety Code® compliance throughout the country.
David R. Hood is the president and principal with Russell Phillips & Associates, LLC and serves as President of the organization. He has been with the company since 1995. Dave continues to consult and presents to healthcare clients and professional organizations nationwide. He is the Chairman of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Healthcare Section Education Committee and a Vice Chair of the NFPA Healthcare Section Codes & Standards Committee. Dave also sits as a principal member on the NFPA 101 Technical Committee on Healthcare Occupancies and the NFPA 1600 Technical committee on Emergency Management and Business Continuity.
