MEET THE SPEAKERS
Karen Zander, RN, MS, CMAC, FAAN, is Principal and Co-owner of The Center for Case Management, Inc. Her pioneering work with clinical case management and CareMap® systems, begun at New England Medical Center Hospitals in Boston, is internationally recognized. Hospitals and Health Networks has named her a "Cutting Edge" leader. She is the author of Hospital Case Management Models: Evidence Connecting the Boardroom to the Bedside, and editor for 20 years of the New Definitions newsletter.
Matt Boettcher, LCSW, is the Director of Case Management at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, the largest acute care hospital in Arizona and the flagship hospital for Catholic Healthcare West. Boettcher is also a Consulting Associate for The Center for Case Management located in South Natick, MA. He is a published author on family support in intensive care units, has served on the Field Advisory Board for the Arizona State University School of Social Work, along with serving as a Field Instructor, and is a frequent lecturer. Boettcher’s department received the “Outstanding Performer for Medicare LOS” four years in a row for Catholic Healthcare West.
