Big CPT® changes are on the way for the evaluation and management (E/M) code set in 2023, when a slew of code categories—inpatient and observation care services, nursing facility services, prolonged care codes, home visits, emergency department services, and more—will receive major code and guideline updates.

Starting January 1, and effective in the 2023 CPT Manual, the American Medical Association is revising major sections of the E/M chapter guidelines, including the medical decision-making table, to reflect the multitude of code deletions and revisions it announced for the group of “other” E/M services.

Get ahead of the coming shake-up and prepare for the latest major updates to E/M coding during this 60-minute-deep dive into the CPT changes. Our expert speaker will guide you through the updates to ensure you’re prepared to maintain coding accuracy and claims reporting once the changes arrive in a few short months.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of the 2023-effective E/M facility code and guideline changes
  • Explain how to prepare their practice and staff to meet the major updates
  • Describe the revamped code set and how to capture revenue in the new environment
