Presented by: Amy Turner, RN, BSN, MMHC, CPC

Pain management practices regularly report high-level E/M visits, but these claims are often denied—and if a practice reports the visit with modifier -25, the chance of a denial is even greater. To get the reimbursement they deserve, practices must know how to justify their high-dollar claims.

In this 60-minute on-demand webinar, expert speaker Amy Turner, RN, BSN, MMHC, CPC, will show pain management practices how to tame denials, reduce the risk of audits, and code high-level E/M claims with confidence.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the requirements for high level E/M visits and modifier -25
  • Review charts quickly and accurately
  • Train providers to create complete documentation
  • Gauge how the AMA’s planned changes could impact office visits

  • Specialty-specific guidance
  • Requirements for level 4 and 5 office visits
    • Essential elements for new (99204–99205) and established (99214–99215) visits
    • Documentation dos and disasters
  • Medical decision-making: Improve it now to prepare for the future
  • Modifier -25
    • Define “significant and separately identifiable”
    • Correct common mistakes
  • Bonus information: E/Ms in 2021—a preview
