CMS has released its long-awaited draft version of the interpretive guidelines for the revised Home Health Conditions of Participation (CoP) that take effect January 13, 2018—giving agencies less than two months to understand, implement, and comply with the new guidance.

The 85-page draft, released October 27, shows CMS is moving forward with plans to enforce the revised CoPs. This draft covers the four new categories and a raft of new standards your agency will need to prepare for, including patient rights, care planning, quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI), and infection and prevention control.

Gather your staff and join healthcare compliance expert Robert W. Markette as he provides the latest insights into the new CoP interpretive guidelines.

At the conclusion of this on-demand program, you will be able to:

  • Comply with the draft interpretive guidelines for the revised CoPs
  • Implement best practices to update policies and procedures so they’re in compliance with the draft guidelines
  • Comply with the draft guidelines when it comes to patient rights, infection control, and QAPI projects
  • Understand which specific items the clinical record must reflect that proves your agency made efforts to resolve problems presented by patients or others in the home
