Live Virtual Clinical Validation in CDI Boot Camp

Overview

Move your CDI practice from query to collaboration

The Live Virtual Clinical Validation in CDI Boot Camp is a class focusing on key pathophysiological concepts that will improve the quality of clinical indicators used in provider queries. The hands-on, practical format enhances critical thinking skills and prepares CDI specialists to be leaders in their field and communicate collaboratively with providers.

Are you looking for in-depth clinical documentation training and want to take CDI discussion to the next level? Do you want to go beyond quoting buzzwords and reminding physicians to capture the next CC? If you do, this Boot Camp is for you. It will increase your understanding in a way that will move your CDI practice from query to collaboration.

This boot camp will help you to:

  • Increase your understanding of key pathophysiological concepts
  • Improve the quality of clinical indicators used when you query
  • Cultivate critical thinking skills for use with data involving complex clinical concepts
  • Improve your ability to distinguish evidence-based clinical indicators from other data in the record

Live Virtual Clinical Validation in CDI Boot Camp—see the difference for yourself!

Check out all the benefits of this Live Virtual HCPro Boot Camp:

  • Expertly designed course materials: Course materials are developed by an adult education expert. The curriculum uses a “how to” approach where participants learn how to apply CDI concepts that they can then customize to their organizational needs. Content is regularly updated based on changing industry practices and participant feedback.
  • Live instruction: Classes are taught by an experienced instructor who is credentialed as a CDI professional and works as an industry subject matter expert for ACDIS.
  • Small class size: We limit the number of course participants in order to maintain a low participant-teacher ratio. This allows us to provide individual instruction as needed when participants find a topic particularly challenging; it also allows time for discussion.
  • Well-established program: Brought to you by the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS), this Boot Camp from the industry’s only dedicated CDI association provides the best-in-class education you expect.

Our boot camps are a comprehensive and effective way to strengthen your understanding of CDI. “Our goal as instructors is to offer detailed, thorough, and timely education that can be simply broken down and easily understood and applied in daily practice,” says CDI education director at HCPro, Laurie Prescott.

Questions/Answers

Who is the class for?
Live Virtual Clinical Validation in CDI is aimed at intermediate to advanced CDI specialists. It is also designed for experienced coders looking to increase their clinical knowledge, as well as physicians looking for a refresher in CDI.

This Boot Camp is not recommended for new CDI specialists as it does not concentrate on the process of CDI or the basics of reimbursement and MS-DRGs. If you have never had any training, then our foundational CDI Boot Camp is the program for you. Similarly, physicians seeking to learn the fundamentals of CDI would likely benefit more from that foundational course.

Are there any prerequisites?
The Live Virtual Clinical Validation in CDI Boot Camp is intended for students who have already taken basic CDI training: either on the job or in a general CDI specialist course.

The material presented is at an intermediate level and assumes students have a baseline understanding of DRGs, coding guidelines, and basic query opportunities.
