Presented by: Mary McGoldrick, MS, RN, CRNI®, home care and hospice consultant, Home Health Systems, Inc. Naples, Florida

CMS has made infection control surveys a priority following the declaration of the COVID-19 public health emergency in March 2020. With the rise of these targeted surveys, agencies must be prepared and know what to expect.

Join Mary McGoldrick, MS, RN, CRNI®, a home care and hospice consultant and infection preventionist, as she walks you through what surveyors are focusing on and how your agency can avoid the most common citations. Get answers to your questions with a live Q&A at the end of the broadcast.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Describe what surveyors are focusing on during targeted infection control surveys
  • Detail the importance of being prepared for these surveys
  • Identify how to avoid common infection control survey citations

  • How the declaration of the COVID-19 public health emergency led to increased surveying?
  • How has COVID-19 changed broader infection control regulations in home care?
  • What are infection control surveyors focused on?
