In many organizations, HIM is brought into the fold after a claim has processed and been denied. Earlier integration of HIM into revenue cycle operations can make all the difference. Expanding HIM’s role to back-end claims processing and front-end registration allows for common causes of claim rejections and denials to be caught proactively.
