Digestive system anatomy is complicated, which in turn makes reporting procedures for this system even more complex. When reporting digestive system procedures in ICD-10-PCS, coders must be aware of coding guidance, as well as anatomical details, in order to report the most appropriate codes.

During this 90-minute program, expert speaker Nena Scott, PHd, MSEd, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CCDS, will review ICD-10-PCS coding for complex digestive procedures. Through case studies and coding examples, Scott will provide coders with the details they need to decipher provider documentation and accurately report digestive procedures in ICD-10-PCS including gastroesophageal fundoplications, Whipple procedures, colostomies, inguinal hernia Repairs, and more.
