Minimally invasive heart procedures such as bypass surgeries and aortic valve replacements are commonly used to treat pathologies of the heart and thoracic aorta. To assign the most specific codes for these procedures, inpatient coders must have a thorough understanding of cardiac diagnoses, clinical indications for surgery, and applicable ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines.
Join expert speaker Adrienne Commeree, RHIA, CPC, CPMA, CCS, CEMC, CPIP, for this 60-minute webinar as she discusses inpatient coding challenges for cardiovascular surgeries. She will review ICD-10-CM coding for heart conditions as well as ICD-10-PCS coding for coronary artery bypass graft surgeries (CABG), pacemaker insertions, and transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVR). The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Adhere to ICD-10-CM guidelines for reporting cardiac diagnoses
