When reporting cardiac procedures in ICD-10-PCS such as a coronary artery bypass graft or valve replacement, coders must be aware of reporting requirements, as well as anatomical and clinical details of cardiac conditions, in order to report the most appropriate codes.
During this 90-minute webinar, expert speaker Ed O’Beirne, CCS, PA, CDIP, will explain cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, and review ICD-10-PCS coding challenges and requirements associated with the cardiac system. Through case studies and coding examples, including heart catheterizations and valve replacements, O’Beirne will provide coders with the details they need to decipher provider documentation and code in ICD-10-PCS compliantly with Medicare rules and regulations.
